How it works
The rules behind this tool, explained.
Your Corporate Tax return, and any tax due, must be filed within nine months of the end of your tax period, which is normally your financial year.
Late filing is penalised at AED 500 a month (or part of a month) for the first 12 months and AED 1,000 a month after that. Late payment and late registration carry separate penalties.
The FTA has offered waivers for some penalties in specific situations, so check your case with an adviser.
Common questions
Can't find your answer? Ask us directly.
What if my financial year isn't a calendar year?
The deadline is still nine months after your year end. For a year ending 31 March, that's 31 December.
Is the payment deadline the same as the filing deadline?
Yes. Any Corporate Tax due must be paid by the same nine-month deadline.
I missed my deadline. What should I do?
File as soon as possible, because the penalty grows each month. Then ask us whether a waiver or reconsideration request is possible.
